Dear Members,
It is with great excitement that we are able to announce a re-opening of ACT Monday, Sept. 7, 2020. We look forward to your return. Many of you have voiced that we should have moved forward earlier; however, ACT was formed on the premise of your best interest and it has been our concern from the very beginning of our company. With that being said, we still adhere to best practices to include safety as our number one focus for your health.
Our re-opening may not look like other gyms in the area and it may not be the same ACT that you remember pre-COVID, but we ask for your continued support and patience because safety is our number one priority. Repeat…. SAFETY is our number one priority. Did we mention? Safety is our number one priority. As our society has still not found a solid solution to COVID outbreak and as we enter the flu season, ACT remains in safe practice with the following changes to protect both you and our staff.
We will remain an appointment-based facility with no walk-ins allowed. We will continue to accept your insurance plans but again, an appointment must be made. Each person to enter the facility is required to have a temperature check, re-sign a waiver one time, wear a mask and hand sanitize before beginning and after completion of exercise.
There are directional signs for one way in and one way out upon exiting. You will be issued 5 tags which represent the use of 5 pieces of equipment only. After using the machine, we ask you to put a tag on the machine so that no one will use the equipment until it has been properly sanitized between each user. That is correct--- between each user for an enforced 35-minute appointment only. This will allow time for us to prepare for the next ACT guests. Open time reservations will be limited so there is a 24-hour cancellation fee of $5 for missed open gym appointments again due to the demand and limited spaces for reservation. We realize that the change may impact your past routines and social rituals, but we are practicing safety for your health.
Fitness Classes
Classes will be held on a reserved basis and limited to 10 people per class as to adhere to strict social distancing. Insurance will be accepted at this point. We will ask you to enroll in your preferred time unit and that will be your seat for the semester. We ask that gathering together in groups remain outside. Once class has begun, there is NO entry. There will be a class cancellation fee of $5.00 for reserved no shows without a 24-hour notice of cancellation due to limited seating and demand.
The classroom has also been set up for appointments allowing use of cardio and strength training in individual private units to be used when classes are not in session.
Appropriate masking to cover nose and mouth are required. N95 masks are available for purchase at $5.00 each if you forget to bring one.
Bring your own bottled water as access to fountains remain closed.
The new protocol is to keep everyone safe as we continue to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. Thank you for your understanding and support through the many challenges.
LET’S WORK OUT!!!!!!!
Kind Regards, Prince and Gina Deese/ A.C.T. Staff .
